Waffle House earns ‘B’ rating

BROOKHAVEN — Mississippi Department of Health reported eight local establishments passed restaurant inspections last week. All were “A” ratings with the exception of Waffle House which earned a “B” rating.

According to the records, Waffle House is located at 954 Brookway Boulevard and earned a “B” rating for the eighth time since 2016. Waffle House did not have their permit last inspected posted which is why they got a “B” grade, the issue was corrected on site.

Fox’s Pizza, located at 106 West Monticello Street, earned an “A” rating for the 11th straight time.

Brookhaven Crisis Intervention Center, located at 725 Brookman Drive Extension, earned an “A” rating for the second straight time.

Mississippi Adolescent Center, located at 760 Brookman Drive Extension, earned an “A” rating for the 15th straight time since 2013.

Los Parilos, located at 939 Brookway Boulevard, earned an “A” rating for the third straight time.

Big Ron’s BBQ Barn and Hickory Hut earned an “A” rating for the 16th straight time since 2016. Big Ron’s is located at 2440 Jackson Liberty Drive Northwest.

The Tobias Shack, mobile unit, located at 101 MLK Drive earned an “A” rating for the fifth straight time.

Mama Ruby’s, located at 201 N Second Street, earned an “A” rating for the fourth straight time.
