A Brooklyn dollar van driver wrapping up his shift was bashed in the head by a customer he stabbed for demanding a ride , cops said Tuesday.

Both men survived the wild clash on Flatbush Ave. near Beverly Road in Flatbush and have been charged with assault.

Kevin Brathwaite, 46, was about to head home to Massapequa, L.I., when Michael Ayers jumped into his idling dollar van about 11:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

Ayers, 43, demanded a ride and wasn’t dissuaded by Brathwaite insisting he was done for the day, cops said.

The two began arguing as Brathwaite ordered Ayers out of the van, cops said. Once on the sidewalk, the fight became physical and Brathwaite allegedly stabbed Ayers twice in the back of the head, leaving the Harlem resident with two puncture wounds.

Ayers, in turn, picked up a hard object he found on the street and bashed Braithwaite in the head with it.

Both men suffered minor injuries and were treated at area hospitals.

After an investigation, cops charged each man with assault. Their arraignments in Brooklyn Criminal Court were pending Tuesday.
