    Man arrested for allegedly stabbing MTA bus driver in Brooklyn: NYPD

    BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Brooklyn man accused of stabbing a MTA bus driver on June 8 was arrested for attempted murder, according to the NYPD.

    Malachi Houston, 27, was taken into custody on July 8.

    Police say Houston was involved in a dispute with the 60-year-old driver while aboard a B99 bus on Pitkin Avenue on June 8 at around 11:30 a.m.

    During the dispute, Houston allegedly stabbed the driver in the neck with an unknown object, police said. He then got off the bus and fled westbound on Pitkin Avenue.

    First responders rushed the man to Brookdale University and Medical Center for treatment.
