A community called for a safer neighborhood following two shootings in Clinton Hill that they believe were precipitated by two nearby migrant shelters. The residents held a rally on the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Hall Street Tuesday night. Their demands for action come after two men were shot to death and one other was injured Sunday night in two separate shootings. Police have yet to make any arrests. Officers say a suspect opened fire outside the Ryerson Street migrant shelter on Ryerson Street, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Enny DeJesus. A 59-year-old man was also shot but survived. Prior to that, police say 30-year-old Arturo Rodriguez-Marcano was fatally shot at nearby Steuben Park. Police cannot confirm if the two shootings are linked. According to police data, overall crime is up more than 12% since the start of the year in the 88th Precinct where the two shootings occurred. "
