For perfectly shucked, constantly rotating oysters in Brooklyn, head to Siren Oyster Bar. The South Slope spot, with its oyster shuckers in full view of the dining room, rotates through about 10 different oyster options from both the East and West coasts. They vary in price, but at Happy Hour (5-7pm on weekdays, 4-6pm on weekends), there’s always at least one option for $1.50 per bivalve. Decorated in the rich blue and gold that you’d hope Poseidon’s underwater palace might look like, this is a great spot to know about if you live in the area and want a couple of after-work drinks and a snack before dinner. Or, hang out past Happy Hour, and grab a fritto misto or some seafood-forward pasta.
