‘You’re a monster’: Cleveland mother sentenced to life in prison for beating toddler to death
CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Cleveland mother who beat her 3-year-old son to death was sentenced Monday to life in prison with parole eligibility after 31 to 35 years. Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Brendan Sheehan said Timmeka Eggleton, 31, beat her son, Curtis Witcher, then lied to police to cover up his death.
Fire destroys restaurant, hall on West Side; firefighter injured
CLEVELAND, Ohio — A fire at a restaurant and hall on the West Side rekindled after it was initially controlled, destroying the building and injuring a firefighter.
