A 40-year-old Elyria man is facing a felony charge of operating a vehicle while impaired after police said he crashed his car in a construction zone July 20, marking his sixth such offense in fewer than 20 years. Willie Johnson was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired, a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor offenses of OVI refusal, failure to control, failure to stop after an accident and driving under suspension, according to an Elyria Police Department report.
