Yolo County Landfill Observes Independence Day
As residents across Yolo County prepare to celebrate Independence Day, the Yolo County Department of Community Services’ Integrated Waste Management Division intends to support them in reducing waste during their festivities. Unlike many public servants, the dedicated team at the Yolo County Central Landfill (YCCL) has few opportunities to recognize holidays due to the essential nature of their work. YCCL operates almost year-round, closing only six days annually, to provide crucial recycling, disposal, and hazardous waste services to the community. However, YCCL does close each year in observance of Independence Day, so that staff has time to celebrate with their families.
