YMCA program provides meals for families during the summer
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) - Since June, the La Crosse YMCA has been working to give hundreds of thousands of meals to local families in need. This is done through the YMCA Summer Food Program. The program features 33 different locations across three counties where children can pick up meals. Those locations include libraries and parks.

NDSU Soccer Opens Season With 3-1 Win
LA CROSSE, Wis. – North Dakota State soccer defeated Viterbo University 3-1 in the season opener on Thursday at the Viterbo Athletics Complex. Senior Olivia Watson opened up the scoring in the seventh minute with a close-range effort off of a ball from Hannah Arnold. Watson's 13th goal of her career moved her into a tie for 10th in NDSU's D1 history for goals, tying Abbe Stratton and Malley O'Brien.

The TCU Legion Boys Baseball Team, ages 19 and under, fell Tuesday, July 30, at the 2024 Minnesota American Legion Division 1A State Baseball Tournament in Burnsville after a breeze of a game the day before. A man has been convicted in the fatal 2021 shootings of three men whose bodies were found outside a Wisconsin quarry.A La Crosse County jury found Nya Thao, 37, of Onalaska guilty Tuesday of three counts of intentional first-degree homicide and one count of felon in possession of a firearm, the La Crosse Tribune reported.It was Thao's second trial in the killings; his first ended in a hung jury last year.
