The annual Spring Fest in Brundidge on Saturday was a fun-filled day with arts and crafts, entertainment, food and friendship. And, it was an opportunity for the winners of the Miss Brundidge pageant to enjoy a day together and to meet people, not just in Brundidge, but those from other areas who came to enjoy the festival.

Sameeria Issac, an upcoming senior at Pike County High School, was is recently crowned Miss Brundidge 2024. The pageant is a preliminary for the Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant in Dothan in October.

Sameeria has had many years of experience in the pageant industry she has decided to spend this year bringing awareness and motivation to other young girls, especially those in her community.

“I want to share my experience and try to be a testimony to others that they can do anything,” Sameeria said. “In this year’s Miss Brundidge Pageant, the numbers were low. We know that Brundidge is a small town but big things can still happen.”

Sameeria has created a platform via social media called “Little Brundidge Bells.” Her hopes are to be encouragement to anyone who has ever wanted to participate in a pageant but for some reason could not.

“Pageants are so much more, they can truly impact the life of any young lady,” Sameeria said. “But without taking the first step, one may never know how many other doors this could open. Far beyond this world of pageantry is real life, and everyone should know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and confident about that daily and that is the main objective for creating the safe place, Little Brundidge Bells.
