Island Girl Cafe to host Back-to-School Jamboree

Even pancakes are better when they’re free.

And that’s just what J’Ean “Mama Jay “Collins had planned for her Back 2 School event on July 27.

The Free Pancake Breakfast will be from 8 a.m. until noon and will be followed by the Back 2 School Jamboree that goes until … at “The Island Girl Café” on S.A. Graham Blvd. in downtown Brundidge.

“This is Mama Jay’s way of saying thank you to all those who support the “Island Girl Café” in downtown Brundidge and to encourage others to come visit us,” Collins said. “We have two free pancakes breakfast, the Back to School Jamboree before school opens and again the day after Christmas. Both are sponsored by Island Girl Café and other local entities.”

However, the Island Café’s Back to School event is kid centered.

“Beginning at noon, we’ll have a lot of activities for the kids, water balloons, slip and slide, a bouncy house and different kinds of games.” Collins said. “The jamboree will be an opportunity to learn more about the Island Girl Café and all that we have to offer. We believe in giving back to the community. The Back 2 School Jamboree is one way the Island Girl gives back.
