The wait won't be much longer on Georgia getting a new Buc-ee's.

Construction has started on the Brunswick location on Georgia 99 at the I-95 exit. It's being built by J. Raymond Construction out of Florida. Media coordinator Crissy Gonzales said via email that the Buc-ee's has a tentative opening date of June 2, 2025. However, that date is subject to change.

Once finished, it will be the largest in the state at 74,000 square feet. Other Buc-ee's locations are in Fort Valley along I-75 just south of Warner Robins and in Adairsville along I-75 in northwest Georgia. They are more than 20,000 square feet smaller than the Brunswick location.

For those who haven't been to one, Buc-ee's is a chain of gas stations/convenience stores with a ton of branded merchandise depicting their beaver mascot. They are also a popular spot for good, with some of the favorites being the 'Beaver Nuggets,' 20 jerky variations, and the 'Texas Roundup' sections offering brisket, pulled pork, sausages, turkey and roasted cinnamon nuts.

Buc-ee's can be found in Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, and Tennessee. For more info, go to buc-ees.com.
