Defense Puts Little Rock Rangers on the Verge of Division Title
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Through nine USL2 league games, the Little Rock Rangers have allowed just one goal, putting them in position to clinch a Mid-South Division title. Little Rock kept a season shutout until the seventh game of the season and have yet to lose a divisional matchup. They currently hold a 7-2-0 record and have outscored opponents 17-1.
Bryant Basketball: In-depth look at star senior wing Earl Timberlake
Timberlake is a former Miami Hurricane and Memphis Tiger and now enters his third season at Bryant. The wing came to Bryant as a former top 40 recruit nationally but was never able to live up to the hype after an injury-plagued first season at Miami and a disappointing season at Memphis the graduate student needed a fresh start. The transfer to Bryant would give him a chance to become the player he knew he could become out of the spotlight. The Bulldogs have a tremendous home-court advantage but the America East conference is rarely on National TV and rarely in the spotlight. That coupled with Rhode Island being close to home. It was a no-brainer for the wing.

Calipari’s first Hogs roster proof his biggest change was adopting new recruiting strategy
LITTLE ROCK — Genius is often confused with wisdom. In reality, possessing one of those attributes does not guarantee a seamless symbiosis with the other. In the case of first-year Arkansas men’s basketball coach John Calipari — his bullet-proof brilliance as a recruiter has gone unmatched spanning decades in the Division 1 game — a change of scenery moving from Kentucky to Fayetteville has sparked an awakening while igniting a still-something-to-prove fuse that goes beyond the expected explosion-spectacle of a 15-year-blueblood-tenured, already-enshrined Naismith Hall of Fame coach leaving for another SEC program.
