Upper Dublin Wins Battle of Bethlehem Pike Over Wissahickon 38-21
Ambler- “The Battle of Bethlehem Pike” is a tradition that dates back to 1983 when the first “rivalry game” was held on Thanksgiving between Upper Dublin and Wissahickon. 2.3 miles separate the two schools so, these kids know each other. Upper Dublin’s head coach Bret Stover played in the game, and his Cardinal team won 20-7. Fast forward 41 years later and Coach Stover is in his 22nd season at the helm and delivered another Victory. The Cardinals started the ’24 campaign with a 38-21 victory and bragging rights until next season.

Pa. sportsbook closes, 31 people to be laid off
A sports and horse race wagering venue in Philadelphia has closed, according to a message on the Parx Racing website. In addition, more than 30 employees will be laid off. Philadelphia, PA – According to the court documents, the 38-year-old mom, later identified as CrystaI, and the 48-year-old dad, later identified as Shanne, were sentenced to 8 to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of child endangerment. Both parents were also ordered not to contact their kids until they turn 18 and only with approval of a court-appointed therapist.
Wings Field in Blue Bell to host air festival
BLUE BELL — Wings N’ Wheels touches down at Wings Field on September 7, delivering a day full of fun activities for the whole family. The local airport will be transformed into a festival featuring local breweries, food trucks, live music, and kids’ activities.
