Mekhi Becton projected to start for Philadelphia Eagles in 2024 on one condition
For the most part, the Philadelphia Eagles have their starting five on the offensive line figured out, but that doesn't mean a new face can't emerge during NFL training camp. According to NFL Network's offensive line expert Brian Baldinger, Mekhi Becton could be that face on one condition: he stays healthy. “Mekhi Becton (the 11th overall pick in the 2020 draft by the New York Jets) had some knee issues in the past, but he has more power than anyone on the whole team,” Baldinger said, via Bleeding Green Nation. “He is the best run blocker that the Eagles have. If he is healthy, he will play right guard for them. They are working him in there. I would keep an eye on Mekhi. He is on their depth chart backing up Mailata right now at left tackle. He is a big guy. I think Becton has a shot at being right guard. Right now, Tyler Steen probably has the advantage there because he knows the Eagles’ system.

Philadelphia Flyers set to lose another top goaltender for nothing
Despite joining their AHL team in 2023/24, it appears as though the Flyers are on the verge of losing yet another promising prospect. The Philadelphia Flyers goaltending situation hasn't been going well in the past few years, so when Alexei Kolosov, a former third-round pick came to the AHL to join the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in 2023/24, confidence was high that he could be an NHLer of the future. Unfortunately, this off-season has been a backwards step for the talented prospect, as it has been revealed he has asked his KHL team, Dynamo Minsk to help him get out of his NHL contract to facilitate a return to Europe.
Phillies Trade Candidates Narrowing as Deadline Approaches
A new report by USA Today’s Bob Nightengale details the Philadelphia Phillies’ narrowing options for trade candidates. This comes as the July 30 trade deadline is quickly approaching. It has been widely reported that the Phillies want a right-handed outfield bat to platoon with Brandon Marsh in left field. This is because Marsh struggles against left-handed pitching. In 49 at-bats against left-handed pitchers this season, he has a .378 OPS and a 10 wRC+. Some of the names mentioned by other reporters for this role were ruled out by Nightengale. While Matt Gelb of The Athletic has stated that team control is not a factor, someone on an expiring contract is likely to fill this role.

We saw him during practice sessions at OTAs and mandatory minicamp that were available to the media. It's still hard to believe that Saquon Barkley is one of us sometimes.
