Late Rally Pushes Wisconsin Past Beloit
BELOIT, WI – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers didn’t let an early start, or a late deficit bother them on Sunday afternoon at ABC Supply Stadium. Wisconsin rallied from a 2-0 deficit with single runs in the eighth and ninth innings and three runs in the tenth to defeat the Beloit Sky Carp 5-3. The game started thirty minutes earlier than scheduled due to a forecast that called for thunderstorms in the early afternoon. It did rain lightly a few times during the game, but the storms never rolled through the area leading to a pleasant afternoon at the stadium.
Glory close inaugural season against AFC Roscoe
The Green Bay Glory close their inaugural season against the team they have been battling for the top spot Sunday afternoon. The Glory have battled AFC Roscoe for the top spot in the lower Heartland Division for much of the season. AFC Roscoe held an edge on points until recently, but the Glory had a decided advantage in goal differential.
Green Bay Rockers drop decision to Wausau Woodchucks
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. – The Green Bay Rockers (11-10) lost to the Wausau Woodchucks (17-5) at Capital Credit Union Park 6-1 on Saturday. The Woodchucks jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the second that held until the third. Lane Allen (Blinn CC) led off the inning and hit a solo home run over the right field wall to tie the game 1-1. With the homer, he becomes the sixth Rocker to hit five or more this season.
