    Follow along as Council Rock Newtown chases Little League World Series championship

    It's been more than 60 years since Bucks County has had a team win the Little League World Series, dating back to 1960 when a Levittown team won it all.

    Council Rock Newtown , riding an undefeated streak through districts, sectionals, states and regionals, will try to end that 63-year absence as the squad opens play in the Little League World Series in Williamsport in Thursday's first-round contest , airing live on ESPN at 7 p.m. All the games can be viewed on ESPN or ESPN2.

    Texas team shuts out Council Rock Newtown in opener

    Boerne, Texas brought the bats in handing the Newtown team a 9-0 loss in the Little League World Series opener Thursday night in Williamsport. CR Newtown kept the game within reach for four innings, but trailing 3-0, Boerne broke it open with a 6-run fifth, buoyed by a grand slam.
