    Check out who's in Pennsbury Athletic Hall of Fame 2024 induction class

    The Pennsbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame is adding 12 members at its Sept. 21 induction banquet.

    After being introduced at halftime of the Sept. 20 home football game against Central Bucks East, the inductees will be honored at a banquet and induction ceremonies taking place Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. at Makefield Highlands Golf Club in Yardley. Dinner tickets are $60.

    Here are the inductees in alphabetical order:

    Christina Bascara (2013 graduate, softball)

    Bascara was a first-team all-state selection as a senior, when she batted .569 after hitting .568 as a junior. She helped Pennsbury reach the 2011 state championship game. Buscara earned a scholarship to La Salle University, where she was a four-year starter.

    Heather Chapman Lieb (1997 graduate, softball, field hockey, winter track)

    Chapman Lieb was the school's tri-athlete award winner as a junior in 1995-96 and again as a senior in 1996-97. She earned the Falcon Offensive Award and High Scorer Award in field hockey as a senior in 1996. A three-time Courier Times Golden Teams selection in softball (1995-97), Chapman Lieb played 198 softball games at St. Joseph's from 1998-2001.

    D’Anna Devine (2011 graduate, softball)

    Devine received PIAA Class 4A all-state first-team softball honors in 2010 and '11, was a four-time All-Suburban One League first-team selection and chosen to the Courier Times' all-decade team. She played on scholarship at the University of South Florida, where she appeared in 197 games.

    Lindsay Krasna (2004 graduate, basketball, volleyball)

    Krasna had the school career scoring record with 1,292 upon her graduation. She was a two-time Courier Times and All-Suburban One League first-team pick in 2002 and '03. Krasna led the Falcons in points, assists and steals in 2002. The Rick Block Memorial Scholarship as a senior, Krasna played college ball on scholarship at Cornell and professionally in Israel.

    Eileen Martin (1991 graduate, volleyball, basketball)

    Martin was a second-team all-state selection in volleyball (1990), a first-team SOL pick three times and the 1990 Courier Times Player of the Year. She also was second-team All-SOL in basketball as a senior in 1990-01 prior to attending the University of Houston. Martin is the principal at Makefield Elementary in the Pennsbury School District.

    Jenna Peters (2018 graduate, soccer, track and field)

    Peters was the 2017 Courier Times Player of the Year and first-team All-SOL in girls soccer. She played on four SOL soccer championship teams. Peters went to West Chester on a soccer scholarship and is the current Pennsbury girls soccer head coach.

    David Reilly (2006 graduate, volleyball, football)

    Reilly earned Pennsylvania’s Volleyball Coaches Association first-team all-state and first-team All-SOL honors in volleyball as a junior and senior and was the Falcons' John Bodnarik Award winner in 2006. He set the single-season (250) and career kills (547) records as a senior, when Pennsbury made the state quarterfinals after finishing second (2004) and third ('05) at states during the two previous years. A tight end/linebacker in football, Reilly participated in the Bucks County All-Stars Lions Memorial Game prior to attending St. Francis on a volleyball scholarship.

    Jackie Rogowicz (2015 graduate, golf)

    Rogowicz was a three-time runner-up at the state golf championships, a two-time District One champion (2013 and '14) and the 2013 and '14 Courier Times Golfer of the Year. She also won the 2011 Eastern Regional and Suburban One League titles, as well as the 2014 SOL crown. Rogowicz went to Penn State on a full scholarship.

    Lauren Rossi (2009 graduate, softball, tennis)

    Rossi earned first-team all-state softball honors and the Falcon Award as a senior and was the SOL National Conference Player of the Year as a junior. She was a two-time SOL singles champion in tennis, as well as a two-time Courier Times Player of the Year and Pennsbury's No. 1 singles player for three years. Rossi received a full scholarship to Penn State for softball.

    Olivia Sargent (2016 graduate, cross country, winter and spring track)

    Sargent won the PIAA state cross country race as a senior in 2015 and helped the Falcons to their second straight team title. She won the Nike Cross Regionals as a junior after finishing second at states and was a two-time Courier Times Runner of the Year (2014 and '15). Sargent took home gold in the 1,600-meter run during 2016 spring track, among her other accomplishments. She went to Virginia on a full scholarship.

    Leonard 'Lenny' Varacallo (distinguished service)

    Varacallo had a 40-year career at Pennsbury as a teacher, coach and volunteer. He created and coached in an inclusionary elementary football league, expanded Pennsbury’s summer recreation program to include special education students and was a popular ticket-taker at home football games for more than 50 years.

    Meredith Webber (2017 graduate, soccer, basketball)

    Webber was a two-time girls soccer MVP, two-time Courier Times Golden Teams selection and three-time All-SOL first-team pick. As a senior, she was the Falcons' 3D and Rick Block Scholarship Award winner in basketball. She played soccer at the University of Maryland Baltimore County on scholarship.
