A Bucyrus woman on Thursday pleaded not guilty to felony charges related to the death of an infant.

At an arraignment hearing in Crawford County Common Pleas Court, Takiyah Wright, 27, pleaded not guilty to one count of endangering children, a third-degree felony, and one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

Wright was arrested July 2 when Bucyrus Police officers investigated a report of an unresponsive baby in the 1000 block of West Mansfield Street. The baby was deceased, and an autopsy was ordered.

According to Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall, the cause of death has not yet been determined and his office is waiting for the toxicology report and final results of the autopsy before determining if additional charges will be filed against Wright.

Judge Sean Leuthold set Wright’s bond at $150,000 and appointed Bucyrus attorney Thomas G. Nicholson to represent her.
