Bond was set for a Bucyrus man in Crawford County Municipal Court on July 18 during a hearing on charges stemming from a drug investigation by the Bucyrus Police Department in conjunction with members of the Crawford County Special Response Team.

Jonathan L. Jarvis, 30, was arrested as the result of a drug investigation at his residence in the 400 block of Hopley Avenue on July 17.

According to a news release from Capt. Tom Walker, public information officer for the Bucyrus Police Department, law enforcement seized prescriptions drugs, drug paraphernalia, two handguns and cash from the home.

Bond was set for Jarvis in the amount of $25,000 after he pleaded not guilty to one count of heaving weapons under disability and one count of trafficking in drugs, both third-degree felonies.

His case was scheduled for a preliminary hearing but was cancelled as the case is expected to be bound over to a Crawford County grandy jury for felony charges in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

The Special Response Team consists of members of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Galion, Crestline and New Washington police departments.

Walker said one dog was removed from the home by the Crawford County Dog Warden and Crawford County Children Services assisted at the scene.
