Recycling Center offers free boxes, compost, more

Are you moving this spring? Or just in need of some empty boxes? The Wright County Recycling Center has cardboard boxes of all sizes — from small to wardrobe size — and the best news is that they’re free.

You can pick them up at the Recycling Center (505 CSAH 37 NE, Buffalo) during regular business hours – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to noon on the second and third Saturday of each month.

With more boxes arriving every day, there is always an inventory to replace the boxes that go out.

In addition, there are piles of fresh turned-and-tilled compost and wood chips (also free) and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you’ve never been to the facility, this is a good opportunity to see what it has to offer for the next time you need to recycle an old TV or a bundle of fluorescent light bulbs.
