    Sabres sign winger Jason Zucker to one-year deal

    Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) – NHL Free Agency is underway, and the Buffalo Sabres have been active with the signings of mostly depth, veteran free agents.

    As first reported by Daily Faceoff NHL insider Frank Seravalli , the Sabres have signed winger Jason Zucker to a one-year, $5 million deal.

    Zucker split his 2023-24 season with the Arizona Coyotes and Nashville Predators. With the Coyotes, he scored nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points. In Nashville, the 32-year-old played 18 games and netted five goals to go along with two assists for seven points.

    A couple of seasons back, Zucker netted 27 goals and 21 assists for 48 points while with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

    In 697 career NHL games with the Minnesota Wild, Penguins, Coyotes and Predators, Zucker has scored 196 goals and added 174 assists for 370 points.

    Zucker is a playoff-tested veteran, playing in 52 games over nine seasons, scoring nine goals and adding nine assists for 18 points.
