Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Downtown will be packed this weekend as the Savannah Bananas will be at Sahlen Field Friday night through Sunday afternoon for three sold out games of Banana Ball. Tickets have been in high demand for several months as a ticket lottery was held back in November. The Bananas have been described as baseball's version of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Buffalo Pro Soccer will celebrate 716 day on July 16th with their third town hall event, this time at Lloyd Taco Factory in Williamsville. Donations of soccer equipment will also be accepted at the event, with items going to Soccer for Success, a development program in Western New York.

Hideaway Bay Resort, a new beach resort along Lake Erie in the Village of Silver Creek, is almost completely booked for the summer according to Buffalo Business First. The resort includes 10 private cottages and a beach bar. Hideaway Bay restaurant previously occupied the site before it burned down in 2020.
