Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane is a man who will stand up for his quarterback whenever needed, no matter if you're a fan or an NFL executive.

When asked about the comments made by an anonymous league executive about Bills QB Josh Allen being "overrated, " Beane had a very simple and straightforward takeaway. And he did not pull his punches.

"There's idiots everywhere," Beane told reporters on Wednesday , the first day of camp for the Bills.

Beane went into detail of his reaction to the viral ESPN article that quoted a so-called "NFL executive" not only claiming that Allen was "one of the most overrated players in the NFL" but also arguing that Allen "makes a lot of mistakes (and) he's underdeveloped at winning at the line of scrimmage, tends to lock on to targets, more of a thrower than precision passer, forces throws into traffic."

In the eyes of Beane, referring to someone as NFL exec is way too ambiguous and even admitted he was referred as one way before he deserved the label.

"These things that come out there, I know that people love their rankings of whoever but when you don't put your name to it, and you make comments like that, like who is this league executive?," said Beane. "If you're not going to put your name to it then we shouldn't validate it. (...) I'm not a fan of that style, I wish the writer wouldn't include a comment like that because I don't think Josh deserves that."

Beane doubled down on his stance, arguing that there are people who thought Allen was a bust out of the draft process and "any time somethings they've got a crack, they're going to say 'see, I told you so."

Bills Mafia is guaranteed to love Beane not taking the coach-speak route with this one and instead showing his true feelings about a diss targeted at Josh Allen that simply doesn't make sense.

Allen enters the 2024 NFL season as one of the best quarterbacks in the business, something most of the NFL world agrees with as he was actually ranked third on the poll put together by ESPN based on answers from league execs, coaches, and scouts.
