Dalton Kincaid may be the best overall tight end on the roster. Dawson Knox is the seasoned veteran. But there's one more tight end on the Buffalo Bills roster who continues to look the part of a quality piece to begin the 2024 season.

At first glance, Zach Davidson's 6-7 frame makes him an intriguing piece for any team looking to utilize athletic tight ends.

Since being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2021 draft, though, Davidson has struggled to find his footing on an NFL field.

Since being signed by the Bills in 2022, Davidson has found a team that has been willing to be patient over the last two years. Even when a knee injury claimed his 2023 season.

Now, as training camp continues in Western New York, Davidson is rewarding Buffalo with standout practices, and a new wrinkle to their offensive plans.

“You guys, I’m sure, feel him,” offensive coordinator Joe Brady said. “Rob Boras is an incredible tight end coach, and you’re getting all of those tight ends rolling, they’ve all had a really good camp, which has been a lot of fun. Zach’s personality, I drink a lot of coffee [and] a lot of caffeine, I think his is just pure natural. He can run for days and he’s a lot of fun. You enjoy being around Zach, and he’s had some opportunities in camp and he’s made the most of it. Love everything about Zach.”

Davidson may have to do more over the next few weeks to see the field during the 2024 regular season, but it's clear that Buffalo remains infatuated with the intangibles of the Central Missouri product.
