Dion Dawkins Absent from Bills' Wednesday Practice

The Buffalo Bills ended Wednesday's practice with some alarming injury concerns. At one point, the team's Pro Bowl left tackle Dion Dawkins was seen leaving the field and was not seen again.
After practice, though, the Bills explained that it wasn't any injury that kept him out.
Head coach Sean McDermott stated that Dawkins left practice due to a personal matter and no injury kept him out. It is unclear when he will be back with the team.
Former undrafted free agent lineman Ryan Van Demark took first-team left tackle reps in his place.
Dawkins has been to the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons. The former second-round pick out of Temple played in all 17 games last season and helped the Bills win their fourth-straight AFC East title.
Buffalo will be back on the practice field on Thursday and have Friday off before hosting the Chicago Bears in their opening preseason game.
Casey Toohill is also considered day-to-day from practice after dealing with an injury yesterday as well.
While Dawkins leaving practice was sure to scare many Bills fans across the country, the positive reality is the fact that Buffalo isn't going to have to worry about their top tackle - at least not yet when it comes to an injury.
