    Man arrested in Fourth of July stabbing in Union Co.

    UNION COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A man is now in custody after injuring a person in a stabbing the night of Fourth of July in Union.

    The Union County Sheriff’s Office charged 29-year-old Dale Robert Puckett, of Buffalo with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing a man in the back.

    On Thursday, deputies responded before 10 p.m. to Fire Lane in the Buffalo community . Upon arrival, officials located the victim in front of Paw Paw’s Garage. He was suffering from a stab wound to the back slightly below his left shoulder, deputies said.

    The victim was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

    Further into the investigation, Puckett was identified as the suspect in the stabbing.

    Authorities located Puckett Friday and arrested him without incident.

    The stabbing remains under investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
