LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — A 30-year-old Arizona man faces a first-degree murder charge after a Saturday night stabbing in Bullhead City.

Records show Don Earl Kelso is in custody in the Mohave County jail after his uncle was found with critical stab wounds in the 1800 block of Ramar Road when police responded to a report of a weapons offense.

Kelso wasn’t at the scene when police arrived, but Fort Mojave tribal police found him walking near King Street and Highway 95 — about 14 miles south of the residence — on Sunday at about 6 a.m. Kelso was arrested on a temporary felony warrant from the Bullhead City Police Department.

Steven Patrick Anderson, 53, identified as Kelso’s uncle, was taken to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center with stab wounds to his upper torso, abdomen and neck area on Saturday night. He died of his injuries.

Bullhead City is on the Arizona side of the Colorado River across from Laughlin, about an hour and a half south of Las Vegas.
