Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin pepper-sprayed by police after allegedly resisting arrest

Wes Scantlin, the lead singer of Puddle of Mudd, engaged in a stand-off with police in Burbank, Calif., earlier this week after he allegedly resisted their arrest, law enforcement confirms to Page Six.
The “Blurry” singer, 52, was pulled over in his Hummer H2 for a traffic violation Wednesday when Burbank police discovered an outstanding warrant for another crime, according to TMZ .
Officers had reportedly been searching for Scantlin over allegations that he had a weapon at an airport.
Scantlin was reportedly then taken to a hospital to flush out his eyes. Per TMZ, he is now doing “OK.”
The “Stoned” singer was ultimately arrested for his outstanding warrant and the new resisting arrest charge. He has a court date scheduled for Aug. 20.
Scantlin could not immediately be reached for comment.
The “Drift & Die” singer has had several run-ins with the law in the past.
The “Control” singer was also charged with possession of marijuana at the time.
According to Metal Injection , a rock news outlet, Scantlin previously suffered many onstage meltdowns, including once accusing someone of stealing his house and threatening to call the mafia on a sound tech.
