Newfield’s Mickey Beach returns to Coastal Carolina baseball
In 2016, Newfield native and Tompkins Cortland Community College alum Mickey Beach was a 20-year-old baseball player looking to take a different route in the sport. He ventured to Coastal Carolina University—a Division I school in South Carolina that had just won its first-ever national championship—and spent the next five years as a student manager and a graduate assistant. Now 28, Beach is back with the Chanticleers in a much larger capacity.
IC grad Musnicki set for fourth gold medal run in Paris
ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – An Ithaca College graduate and two-time gold medalist hopes to go out on top. Class of 2005’s Meghan Musnicki is heading to her fourth and final Olympics in women’s eight rowing. She is one of 21 rowers named to the U.S. Team in April. Musnicki was reportedly done with competition after her last Olympics in Japan until she decided to enter the 2022 Royal Henley Regatta for fun with a friend. The pair won, and her competitive fire was reignited.
Racker Rivals Returns To Lynah On July 27
