Before his sentencing, the documents added that Seubert paid $60,000 in restitution and was ordered to pay an additional $1,000.
The sentencing stems from an incident at a storage facility in Hector where Seubert admitted during a plea deal that he burglarized several campers at the facility before leaving and entering a building inside the Hector Union Cemetery. Inside the building, Seubert said he lit some hay on fire intending to light a cigarette but failed to fully put out the fire.
The documents said that Seubert’s careless acts led to significant damage to the building that needed to be put out by the Burdett Fire Department.
