St. Clair County Drug Task Force arrests five, seizes over 20 grams of meth
Two investigations led to five arrests last week for the St. Clair County Drug Task Force, as well as the seizure of over 20 grams of methamphetamine and analogue pills. The task force concluded an investigation last Tuesday, August 6, into the sale of methamphetamine in Port Huron, executing a search warrant at a home on the 1000 block of 7th Street. While executing the warrant, two Port Huron residents, 36-year-old Matthew Fields and 21-year-old Kaylee Rataj, were found in the home and taken into custody, eventually being taken to the St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center.

Michigan State point guard DeeDee Hagemann has committed to Memphis women's basketball, she confirmed to The Commercial Appeal on Tuesday. The 5-foot-7 Hagemann, who has one season of eligibility remaining, had previously committed to Ole Miss after entering the transfer portal. A second-team All-Big Ten selection last season, she led the Big Ten in assist to turnover ratio (2.84) in 2023-24. She averaged 12.3 points and 5.2 assists per game.
