BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET ON TUESDAY
The Burton City Council is holding their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday evening. Council members are going to be hearing a presentation from Hollie Janecka of Strand Associates. Strand Associates is one of the companies vying to be the City’s engineer on the Texas Water Development Board project. BEFCO Engineers is the other.
LITTLE LEAGUE TIME AND LOCATION MOVED
The Washington County 11 Year Old All-star Section 1 Tournament Game against Lufkin that was scheduled for this (Sunday) afternoon has been moved and has a new start time. Due to the rain, the game is being moved from Brenham to Burton. The start time has now been moved back to 5pm.
BRENHAM’S MOVIE IN THE PARK MOVED TO JULY 15
The City of Brenham’s Movie in the Park that was rescheduled for this (Monday) evening will be postponed once again. The showing of “Shark Tale” at Fireman’s Park, which was originally set to open the summer movie series at the Aquatic Center on May 31st before being moved to tonight due to rain, will be pushed back to next Monday due to Hurricane Beryl. The movie will start at 7 p.m.
HOT NIGHTS COOL TUNES CANCELLED THIS EVENING DUT TO LOCAL RAIN
KWHI has been informed by The City of Brenham that this evenings Hot Nights Cool Tunes concert has been cancelled due rain. Suede was set to kick of the music season and perform for the first time in five years. Tonight's concert was sponsored by Brenham National Bank, Seidel Schroeder, Dahmann and Associates, and Must Be Heaven. The City of Brenham invites everyone to downtown Brenham next Saturday for the #1 wedding band in Austin "The Pictures". Music will begin at 7:00p.
