Investigators have been looking into what led up to the deadly shooting at the trump rally last Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, as more people come forward to share what it was like to be there. Madison Godwin spent several hours at the Butler Farm Show Grounds, arriving before lunchtime and waiting with many others in heat in the 90s for the rally that didn’t start until 6 pm. Just minutes into the event, a gunman opened fire, injuring Former President Trump and killing a rally attendee. Earlier this week, Madison Godwin spoke with the FOX News Rundown’s Tonya J. Powers about what she saw that horrifying evening. She recounted the timeline she remembered and told me why it was odd to see all the coverage of something she had witnessed firsthand. Lawmaker introduces resolution honoring firefighter killed at Trump rally
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Pennsylvania lawmaker has introduced a resolution honoring Corey Comperatore, a firefighter who was shot and killed during the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump during his rally in Butler Township. U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly of Butler introduced H.Res. 1369 on Monday to honor the 50-year-old Comperatore, who died on July 13 while shielding his family from gunfire from the 20-year-old shooter. More than 70 House members have co-sponsored Kelly's resolution. Pennsylvania House Leader Wants Trump Shooting Investigated
A Pennsylvania Republican leader thinks the shooting at a Trump rally should be looked into. Pennsylvania House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler is introducing legislation to look into the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, in Butler. House Resolution 501 would form a House Select Committee to investigate the actions and response of state and local law enforcement following the assassination attempt. The bipartisan committee would then produce a report on the incident no later than November 30th. Cutler says the committee will not be looking to assign blame, but rather it seeks to discover how law enforcement can better improve practices going forward.

Whistleblower allegedly claims officers diverted from security plan at Trump Butler rally due to heat
BUTLER, Pa. — A whistleblower is allegedly making claims about security failures in the hours leading up tothe attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. Sen. Josh Hawley from Missouri sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Secretary explaining the whistleblower’s claims. The whistleblower allegedly claimed there was supposed to be at least one security officer posted on the roof where Thomas Matthew Crooks fired rounds at the former president, and the security officer assigned to the roof abandoned their post because of the heat.
Fatal Crash Occurs On Route 65 Near Hogue Road Overnight Saturday
A one vehicle fatal crash occurred just after midnight into Saturday that took the lives of the driver and two passengers. According to a PA Police report, and at approximately 12:30 a.m., a 2019 Nissan Armada was traveling south bound on State Round 65, Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County and for unknown reasons traveled across the northbound travel lane, before leaving the roadway. The SUV then struck two utility poles and continued through a yard before striking a parked car located in a driveway. The SUV then became airborne and struck multiple trees where it came to its final rest on top of the parked unit. The 43-year-old male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 17-year-old and 13-year-old passenger were also pronounced deceased at he scene. A third passenger, an 11-year-old, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical condition.
