    Two people dead after Donald Trump 'grazed by gunfire' at Pennsylvania rally

    Two people are dead after Donald Trump was "grazed by gunfire" at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania , on Saturday evening.

    The suspected shooter and another person are confirmed dead after shots were fired at around 6.13pm.

    PA District Attorney Goldinger said the shooter is dead and one audience member was killed. He said another person was injured and Trump was "grazed by gunfire".

    The former US president ran for cover as shots were fired in his direction in Butler, Pennsylvania, at around 6.13pm. Trump, 78, was rushed off the stage surrounded by Secret Service agents.

    He was immediately taken from the rally in a motorcade. Law enforcement cleared the area and Trump was taken to a local hospital.

    Trump's campaign said in a statement that the former president was "fine" after the shooting.

    Spokesman Steven Cheung said: " President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act.

    "He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow."

    The Secret Service said in a statement that "the former President is safe."
