Former President Trump was rushed off stage at his rally in Pennsylvania with blood on his face after sounds that resembled gunshots.
Footage showed Trump with blood near his right ear and on his cheek. The Secret Service said in a statement that the former president was safe and the incident was being investigated.
The shooting at former President Trump’s rally in Butler, Pa. is being investigated as attempted assassination of ex-president, according to multiple reports .
President Biden said in a statement that he had received a briefing on the shooting and was “grateful to hear that [Trump is] safe and doing well.”
Details about the incident are still coming out and being confirmed.
