    Donald Trump supports GoFundMe campaign with $1m target for victims of rally shooting

    Donald Trump is supporting a GoFundMe campaign with a target of $1million for the victims of the Pennsylvania rally shooting.

    Trump, 78, was shot in the ear as he addressed the crowd at Butler, Pennsylvania . Two men, including the shooter , were killed and two others were critically injured.

    The fundraising campaign was created by Trump adviser Meredith ORourke. It has raised $121,000 in donations already.

    The page reads: "President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a place for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt. All donations will be directed to these proud Americans as they grieve and recover. May God bless and unite our nation."

    The FBI identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, from Pennsylvania . The Secret Service said he is dead. Police have not announced a motive for the shooting .

    In a statement, Trump's campaign team said: "President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow."

    Trump turned his head seconds in a potentially life-saving move moments before a bullet grazed his right ear, witnesses said.

    During a BBC interview, a man reported noticing the suspected shooter "bear-crawling up the roof of the building about 50ft away from us."

    A witness described the aftermath, saying he tried to alert authorities: "We were telling the police, we were pointing at him for the Secret Service who were looking at us from the top of the barn. They were looking at us the whole time.

    Another witness said: "He was just giving the typical rally speech that he typically does everywhere, you know trying to encourage voters to get out and vote and talking about his plan for America."
