Joe Rogan has sparked a viral sensation with a clip of his 'conspiratorial' comments on the assassination attempt against Donald Trump , which he described as "bananas" and likened to a "Black Mirror episode," going viral online. The shooting occurred on Saturday afternoon during Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania . As the former president was speaking, shots rang out, prompting him to clutch his right ear while Secret Service agents quickly surrounded him.

The FBI subsequently identified the alleged shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, who was fatally shot by the Secret Service. On Wednesday's episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan and stand-up comedian Chad Daniels delved into the surreal nature of the assassination attempt.

A clip of their conversation was posted on the X account @DramaAlert , with the caption: "Joe Rogan questions Donald Trump's assassination attempts... He raises a few red flags regarding how things played out." The clip has been viewed widely, attracting 412,700 views, while the full episode on YouTube has amassed close to 500,000 views.

Discussing the event, Rogan expressed his disbelief: "The whole thing's nuts, the whole, the whole, thing stinks of either incompetence or a design or we're in the Matrix. Like this is a f****** fake movie. To watch the most bombastic and uh manly of presidents-you know, the for a lack of a better term to-see him with these two female bumbling Secret Service agents," he said, clearly astonished.

He went on: "To see everything happened the way-to see that [the Secret Service] knew this guy was on the roof, that, to hear that that guy had pointed his rifle before that at a cop so the cop engaged him, he pointed the rifle and the cop ran away. The guy climbed the roof with a ladder you can see the ladder, the whole thing is bananas. He's 20 years old and then you find out he was in a Black Rock commercial? You're like, am I, is this the Black Mirror? Like, tell me what's going on is this real?"

Black Mirror is a Netflix sci-fi anthology series that delves into the darker aspects of human nature, set against an obscurely dystopian future. It's often referenced when real-world events seem too surreal or terrifying. Rogan continued, expressing disbelief that if the events of Saturday were depicted in a film, he wouldn't buy it.

"20? 20 years old? And he's got this, this idea and he pulls it off? He actually gets a shot off and nicks [Trump] and then they kill him? Like, you're seeing this 20-year-old kid, his life is over, like, somehow or another he talked himself into trying to assassinate the president as a lone gunman in Pennsylvania, got on top of a roof, either through sheer incompetence or some other-for some other reason he actually gets a shot off and the president just moves his head at the right time? " Rogan questioned.

"Like the whole thing is-if it was in a movie I'd be like 'Shut the f*** up.' Daniels remarked: "That'll make you believe in God." Rogan then pondered if perhaps God intended for Trump to be present to reveal "how crazy our political system is really.

"The only way we find out how coordinated everything is, whether you're a Trump fan or not, whether, if, if you hate Trump, put that aside for a second and just look at how much coordination there is in the media to go after him and it exposes like this, this, thing where you have to step back and go, 'Wait a minute hold on a second, what what's really going on? '" Rogan elaborated.

"Like what-whether you hate that guy or not, hate him, hate him, think he's a crook, hate him, think he's a liar, hate him, don't you think it's weird that they're all in lockstep with the way they talk about him? Even with things that aren't true?"

Meanwhile, commenters on the X post had their say on the shooting. "It’s almost impossible not to believe in conspiracy theories these days," wrote one account holder. "This is all just crazy. It’s hard to believe that this could’ve been pulled off," another person posted.

"So sad how Joe got out of being a paranoid conspiracy theorist, and years later he returned to it . SMH," lamented another X user. Another wrote: "Oh cool, so the left and right are both saying it's staged but for completely different reasons? Ya'll want to find a conspiracy in everything."
