    Local crime reports released

    Butner Public Safety

    June 13, a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle was reported on Brooke Drive. The suspects broke a window on the victim’s vehicle.  Nothing was stolen during the incident.

    June 13, a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle was reported on Veazey Road. The suspects broke a window on the victim’s vehicle, entered the vehicle and stole a firearm.

    June 13, PSO L. T. Wilson served a criminal summons on Darquawn Allison Cozart, 33, of Henderson, for simple assault. Cozart was issued a court date and ordered to appear in court.

    June 13, communicating threats were reported on Highway 56. The victim was threatened by suspect.

    June 14, a hit and run was reported on East Lyon Station Road. As a result of the incident, PSO M. Dominguez issued a citation to Kathryn Tucker Johnson, 69, of Creedmoor, charging her with hit and run.

    June 15, an assault was reported on Millstream Drive. An altercation occurred between family members.

    June 15, a hit and run was reported on Highway 56. The victim’s vehicle was struck by the suspect’s vehicle, which left the scene.

    June 15, PSO M. Dominguez arrested James Wallace Cash, 43, of Butner, for an outstanding failure to appear. Cash was issued a secured bond of $293 by Magistrate C. F. Knott and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    June 16, PSO M. Dominguez arrested Eugenio Jorge Ramirez, 40, of Butner, and charged him with DWI. Ramirez was issued a secured bond of $1,200 by Magistrate C. P. Bostic was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.  June 17, PSO M. B. Butler arrested Christina Michelle Farrell, 54, of Henderson for an outstanding failure to appear. Farrell was issued a secured bond of $500 by Magistrate A. K. Kearney and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    June 17, PSO M. Dominguez arrested Dennis Anthony Couch, 45, of Durham, and charged him with DWI, resist, delay, and obstruct, and communicating threats. Couch was issued a secured bond of $5,000 by Magistrate R. R. Roberts Jr. and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    Creedmoor Police Department

    April 15, a sexual assault possible rape was reported to CPD.

    May 24, destruction/damage/vandalism of property was reported by Good Samaritan Thrift Store.

    May 30, a financial transaction card fraud was reported at Oak Street.

    June 10, an embezzlement was reported to CPD. Robert Corey Martin, 41, of Cary was listed as a suspect.

    June 11, destruction/damage/vandalism of property, by unknown object hitting back window of car on Ferbow Street.

    June 11,  a cardiac arrest/death investigation was conducted on Joyce Court.

    June 11, property damage occurred when a delivery driver, Allen Justice, from Garner, hit the side of the building.

    Granville County Sheriff’s Office

    June 17, Jennings Melchisedec Gilbert, 30, of Durham was charged with felony possession schedule VI controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture precursor not meth, possession with intent to manufacture precursor meth, possession of tobacco by inmate, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gilbert is under $64,000 active bond.
