    Butner Public Safety

    June 23, a larceny was reported on East Lyon Station Road. The suspect took merchandise without paying for it.

    June 23, a breaking and entering and larceny into a motor vehicle was reported on Breda Lane. The suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked motor vehicle and stole a firearm.

    June 24, Sgt. C. L. Duke arrested Ozvatan Hasan, 46, of Creedmoor, for an outstanding order for arrest. Hasan was issued a secured bond of $100 by Magistrate C. F. Knott. Hasan posted bond and was released.    June 24, Sgt. T. B. Currin arrested William Otis Smith, 53, of Butner, and charged him with 2 counts of going armed to the terror of the public.  Smith was issued a secured bond of $1,000 by Magistrate C. F. Knott and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    June 25, an assault was reported on East Lyon Station Road. The suspects attempted to hit the victims with their vehicle.

    June 25, a larceny was reported on East Lyon Station Road. The suspect(s) stole the victim’s laptop.

    Creedmoor Police Department

    June 24, Creedmoor Police Department assisted another agency with an investigation. Lakeshia Venee Lyons, 46, of Burlington and William Otis Smith, 53, of Butner were investigated for possession and concealing of a handgun and ammunition.

    June 24, property damage to a vehicle by an unknown subject was reported to CPD. The alleged vehicle accident occurred in Henderson according to incident/investigation report.

    June 24, a 45 year-old female asked CPD to investigate a possible incident.

    June 25, a warrant was served for Johnston and Franklin Counties by CPD on Sayveon Lavar Durham, 20 of Henderson after a traffic stop.  He went before Magistrate C. Bostic and confined in Granville County Detention Center under a $20,300 bond.

    June 29, Lisa A. Jennings, 58 of Creedmoor was arrested and charged with communicating threats.

    June 30, Ronald Elliott Powers IV, 20 of Creedmoor,was arrested and charged with communicating threats.

    Granville County Sheriff’s Office

    June 29, Ovidio aka John Doe, 25, no address recorded, was held for 24 hours or until sober. He was deemed sober and released on June 30 with time or sentence served.

    July 1, Tiondre Dijon Marqui Henderson, 36, of Oxford, was charged with felony possession of cocaine and placed under $20,000 bond, two counts of resisting public officer, Identity theft and placed under $15,000 bond. Henderson made bond and was released on July 2.

    July 1, Jessica Terry, 37, of Oxford, was charged with felony possession of schedule two controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce,  possession of marijuana paraphernalia, driving while license revoked not impaired revocation, driving a motor vehicle with no registration. She was placed under $36,000 bond.
