    Area crime reports released by law enforcement

    Butner Public Safety

    July 4, PSO M. Dominguez arrested Judith Nichole Capell, 42, of Creedmoor, for an outstanding order for arrest. Capell was issued a secured bond of $1,000 by Magistrate R. R. Roberts Jr. and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    July 4, communicating threats were reported on W. B. Clark Road. The victim received threatening messages through their cell phone.

    July 5, a larceny was reported on East Lyon Station Road. As a result of the incident, PSO S. A. Hannah arrested Jessica Lynn Edwards, 39, of Henderson, and charged her with misdemeanor larceny. Edwards was issued a secured bond of $1,000 by Magistrate C. F. Knott and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    July 6, PSO M. B. Butler arrested Darquawn Cozart, 34, of Butner, and charged him with violation of a domestic violence protection order. Cozart was issued no bond by Magistrate H. G. Herring Jr. and placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    July 6, PSO S. A. Hannah arrested Dequillon Mutrill Smith, 33, of Greenville, for outstanding warrants for two counts of felony larceny, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, and two counts of breaking and entering into a coin operated machine.  Mr. Smith also had an outstanding failure to appear. Smith was issued a secured bond of $48,000 by Magistrate H. G. Herring Jr. and was placed in the Granville County Detention Center.

    July 6, a larceny was reported on Highway 56. The suspect(s) stole cash from a machine.

    July 8, an attempted larceny was reported on East Lyon Station Road. The suspects were stopped by staff and returned the property.

    July 8, communicating threats were reported on Watershed Way. The victim was threatened by a neighbor.

    July 9, a larceny was reported on Central Ave. The suspect took merchandise without paying for it.

    Creedmoor Police Department

    July 6, Tyron Bobbitt, 33, of Creedmoor was suspected of destruction, damage, vandalism of property.

    July 12, Brittany Marie Ellis, 35, of Creedmoor was arrested for possession marijuana paraphernalia. Ellis was issued a $1,000 bond by Magistrate C. Bostic and confined to GCDC.

    July 12, Creedmoor Police Department was called to the Creedmoor Community Center Gym for suspects attempting to start a fight.

    July 14, Arthera Terry, 45, of Creedmoor was suspected of littering on private property or illegal dumping.

    July 14, a vehicle was destroyed by fire on Mills Street.

    Granville County Sheriff’s Office

    July 17, Charles Christopher Terry, 55, of Buffalo Junction, VA, was arrested for misdemeanor larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia and placed under $1,000 bond.

    July 10, Joseph Henry Abbott, 39, of Stovall was arrested for domestic violence protection order violation. No bond was listed on arrest report. Abbott was released July 10.

    July 12, Eric Clayton, 36, no address listed on booking report, no charges listed on booking report. Clayton was released July 12.

    July 12, Luis Ford Hernandez, 40, of Oxford, was held for Durham. He was released on July 12.

    July 13, Taylor Rumple, 30 of Stem was arrested for assault on a female and placed under $1,000 bond. Rumple was released July 15.

    July 13, Danya Rumple, 30, of Stem was arrested for assault domestic and placed under a $1,000 bond. Danya Rumple was released July 15.

    July 13, Randy Perry, 34, of Henderson was charged with felony possession marijuana with a $7,500 bond and carrying a concealed weapon. Perry was released July 15.

    July 14, Nakedra Harris, 31, of Oxford was arrested for crime of domestic violence and placed under $500 bond. Harris was released July 15.

    July 15, Robert Lee Davis, 41, of Oxford was arrested for simple assault and placed under $500 bond. Davis was released July 15.
