These Baked Apple Fritters are made in 30 minutes and don’t require any deep frying! They’re made with a basic fritter dough, filled with warm crisp apple chunks, and topped with a simple glaze for the ultimate fall treat!

    Easy Baked Apple Fritters

These baked apple fritters are a delicious and easy-to-make twist on the classic fried apple fritter and so much easier to make. They’re made with a light and fluffy biscuit-like dough that’s filled with sweet and tangy apples. The fritters are then baked until golden brown and topped with a sweet glaze.

I love the texture of deep fried fritters, but not enough to eat up a pot of oil. With this recipe for baked apple fritters, you get a breakfast treat that’s pretty close to the deep fried version.

The key to their unique texture is the use of a light and airy biscuit dough. The dough is made with flour, baking powder, sugar, and butter. The apples are peeled and chopped and then added to the dough. The batter is then dropped onto a baking sheet and baked until golden brown.

Once the fritters are baked, they are double glazed with a mixture of powdered sugar and milk. The first glaze is lighter and is brushed on at the end of baking and the fritters are placed under a broiler to caramelize and give them a crispy exterior. They are then removed from the oven and a final glaze is added.

    Cream Cheese-Stuffed Pumpkin Muffins

When fall rolls around in the South (even if the weather is stuck in summer mode), you better believe I’m whipping out my pumpkin recipes. These moist pumpkin muffins are the newest addition to my fall baking routine and are the perfect way to celebrate the pumpkin season.

Unlike many pumpkin spice muffins that can be dry, these muffins have a creamy center that resembles a bite of cheesecake, like cream cheese coffee cake. It’s not just a swirl of cream cheese, but a little bite of cheesecake.

But what I love about them is that they’re not too sweet. The sweetness of the muffins comes from the cinnamon streusel topping, like in these rhubarb muffins.
