Please, Please, Please Tell Me How You Made New Friends As An Adult

Hi lovely members of the BuzzFeed Community! Quick question for you: have you tried making new friends recently?

Just this year, I've had three friends move away, one friend had a baby, and one friend with whom I had a pretty rough disagreement, so we've decided to give each other some very necessary ~time and space.~

Life happens, and friendships ebb and flow. But it can be a REAL BUMMER when there's more ebbing than flowing.

So to the people who have succeeded at making friends as an adult: I want to hear about how you did it!

Did you start a club, like a book, supper, or documentary club?

Did you join a sports league?

Did you have friendly banter with someone at the gym or grocery store and then ask them out on a friend date?

Or did you reconnect with lapsed friendships from your past?
