    Cabool Police: Man arrested for alleged harassment, tampering

    The Cabool Police Department handled calls and incidents during the past week, including 14 animal complaints.

    The department reported 17 traffic stops resulting in eight summons and nine warnings issued. Four arrests for non-traffic offenses were made. Two warrant arrests were made.

    On Monday May 13, officers responded to a domestic dispute on Patton Avenue. Officers arrested Shawn Morris, of Cabool, on charges of first-degree harassment, second-degree tampering and probation violation. Morris was transported to the Texas County Jail pending a warrant.

    On Wednesday May 15, Misti Jones, of Cabool, was issued a summons for no dog license.

    In total, police handled two alarms, 14 animal complaints, one domestic violence incident, one peace disturbance, one stealing/theft incident, one suspicious activity, one unsecured building, assisted other agencies 12 times, gave one private escort and assisted the public three times.

    The fire department was dispatched seven times.
