Rare roseate tern spotted along Lake Erie. Here's how you can get a glimpse of the bird
Birders, head to the city of Huron on the shores of Lake Erie to catch a glimpse of a rare visitor to the Buckeye State, a roseate tern. It's the first documented sighting of a roseate tern in the state, said Jamey Emmert, avian education coordinator for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. It's very unusual to find this coastal bird so far inland.

When she put a house on West John Street up for sale recently, Patti Savage-McNamara got an expensive surprise thanks to Maumee’s new sewer-inspection requirement. The newly mandated inspection, she said, resulted in an order to do $46,500 worth of work to comply with city regulations: $20,000 to replace a clay pipe in the house’s sewer feed, and $26,500 to put a sump pump in its unfinished basement. “I literally started crying in the driveway. CLEVELAND, Ohio – AW Farms is recalling about 6,900 pounds of hot-dog products produced without federal inspection, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
