Dunklee found competent to face murder charge
Jul. 16—OTTAWA — Konner Dunklee, the Lima man charged with murder and other assorted felony counts in the April 18 shooting death of a woman at a Leipsic trucking company, has been found competent to stand trial. Former Wapakoneta mayor wins appeal on 2022 conviction
AUGLAIZE COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The former Wapakoneta mayor wins his appeal for his 2022 conviction in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court. The 3rd District Court of Appeals released its opinion on the case against Tom Stinebaugh. The judges heard arguments back in September 2023 on his appeal. Stinebaugh was sentenced to 18 months in prison after a jury found him guilty of having an unlawful interest in a public contract and theft in office. However, the 3rd District Court vacated both those convictions. He was also found guilty of three counts of conflict of interest, but the appellate court did not change those decisions.

BOTKINS — The Botkins Police Department along with Sidney-Shelby County Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance from the public. On June 13 at approximately 6 p.m., an unknown older white male entered the Dollar General store in Botkins, Ohio and gave the clerk a counterfeit $100 bill. The Botkins Police Department is requesting help from the public in identifying this person from the attached photos.

FINDLAY — How does one make a pop-up book? They throw a bunch of paper into a machine, and voila, Matthew Reinhart joked. “Done! Easy! Give me money,” Mr. Reinhart shouted as the audience broke into fits of laughter. Mr. Reinhart — a paper engineer and the creator of best-selling blockbuster pop-up guides for Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Transformers, Frozen, and more — presented at the Mazza Museum’s 30th annual Summer Conference on Tuesday. His presentation was a fascinating trapeze act that swung between humor and earnest passion as he walked the audience through how he produces pop-up books. The University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum, which holds the world’s largest collection of original picture book art, uses its annual summer conference as a means to unite educators and book lovers to learn the behind-the-scenes of authors and illustrators.
