Autism "ROCKS!" helping spread inclusion and awareness about autism
LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - Autism “Rocks!” continues its mission of spreading awareness and acceptance for people with autism. For six years, the Autism Life Center has been inviting the public out to the Johnny Appleseed Park for the event. Thanks to sponsorships, they are able to grow the event. This year, they added a water sensory table, and Blooming Bridge Music Therapy brought music instruments for kids to check out. The YWCA also had some craft projects, and of course there was rock painting. The rocks have links to resources about autism, which will get hidden throughout the region and beyond. As people uncover the rocks, organizers hope they take time to learn more about it.
