    Anniston Museum and Gardens Hosts Four Exciting Earth Day Events

    Anniston, AL – Earth Day is fast approaching, and the Anniston Museum and Gardens is gearing up to celebrate with a lineup of engaging events on April 20th, offering something for nature lovers of all ages.

    Alabama’s Incredible Biodiversity and Native Animal Ambassadors Meet and Greet (11:00 am – 12:00 pm)

    Start the day by delving into Alabama’s remarkable biodiversity and getting up close and personal with native animal ambassadors. Hosted in the Alabama: Sands to Cedars exhibit hall, this program promises fascinating insights into the diverse ecosystems of Alabama. Admission to this event is included in museum admission and free for members.

    Recycled Paper Bowl Demo and Paint Your Own Bowl Workshop (12:00 pm – 1:00 pm)

    Get creative while also championing sustainability with the Recycled Paper Bowl Demo and Paint Your Own Bowl Workshop. Participants will learn how to craft useful containers from discarded paper products and personalize their own bowl to take home. Pre-registration is required for this hands-on workshop, which costs $10 per person. Anniston Museum and Gardens members enjoy a $3 discount, but museum admission is not included.

    Spotlight on the Past (1:00 pm – 3:00 pm)

    Embark on a journey through history with the Spotlight on the Past event at the Berman Museum. Search the museum galleries for a spotlighted area where you’ll discover intriguing facts about world history through hands-on items and interactive activities. This come-and-go event is included with daily admission and free for members.

    Introduction to Nature Journaling (1:30 pm)

    Unleash your creativity and deepen your connection with nature with the Introduction to Nature Journaling session. Led by the museum’s Education team, participants will learn the art of nature journaling and explore the natural world through drawing and writing. No prior artistic skills are required, as nature journaling is for all ages and abilities. Journaling materials will be provided, and the program is included in museum admission, free for Anniston Museum and Gardens members.
