Jacksonville State University Crime Reports Summer 2024

Jacksonville, AL – In recent weeks, Jacksonville State University (JSU) has seen a series of incidents ranging from thefts to arrests for criminal trespass. Below is a summary of the reported cases:

On July 23, 2024, a theft was reported at the Mountain Street Mobile Home Park between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The case, recorded under the number 072400012, is being investigated.

An arrest for criminal trespass occurred on June 29, 2024, at the University Recreation Center (UREC) between 7:51 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. This case, filed under 062400027-1, was reported and processed on the same day.

Several theft incidents have been reported at the Houston Cole Library. The first incident occurred between June 16, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. and June 19, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. This case, numbered 062400026, is still pending. Another theft at the same location took place between June 18, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. and June 20, 2024, at 7:30 a.m. Four cases (062400015, 062400016, 062400017, and 062400018) are currently pending investigation.

On June 27, 2024, an identity theft was reported at Angle Hall. The incident occurred between June 24, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. and June 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. This case, numbered 062400025, is pending.

Another incident of criminal trespass was reported on June 25, 2024, at Houston Cole Library between 7:51 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. This case is recorded under the number 062400024-1.

On June 21, 2024, at Jax Apartments, a case of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was reported. The incident took place between 6:50 p.m. and 7:28 p.m. The case, numbered 062400022, has been closed.

A domestic violence incident was reported on June 18, 2024, at Patterson Hall. The incident occurred between 11:22 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. and is currently pending investigation under case number 062400013.

On June 17, 2024, an incident involving possession of marijuana and a minor in possession of tobacco was reported at Logan Hall at 4:56 p.m. This case, numbered 062400012, has been closed.

Lastly, on June 2, 2024, an incident of a minor in possession of tobacco was reported at Patterson Hall between 6:12 p.m. and 6:25 p.m. The case, numbered 062440001, has also been closed.
