Huh? – Marshawn Lynch To Be Paired Up With California Gov. Gavin Newsom In New Political Podcast “Politickin”

A politics podcast unlike anything the world has ever seen. If you listen to political podcasts, good for you. Personally, I don't know how you do it, but more power to you. The podcasts I listen to (like the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast) usually let me escape the real world for a little bit. A political podcast would basically be throwing myself into the deep end of life's troubles, and I don't want to voluntary do that for the most part. However, this newly announced podcast just might be the political podcast I've been looking for my entire life. Forgive me, because I know this probably sounds like something out of a fever dream, but iHeartRadio just announced a new weekly podcast featuring California Governor Gavin Newsom, former football star Marshawn Lynch, and Lynch's long time agent Doug Hendrickson. "Politickin" is simply wonderful, and I'm honestly surprised that someone else hadn't already thought it. Secondly, I've got a feeling that Doug Hendrickson will feel a little out of place. It feels like the show will mainly be carried by Newsom and Lynch, and the agent will just be there as well... probably to make sure Marshawn stays on his best behavior. ESPN's Adam Schefter gave a little bit more information on the strange grouping for the podcast, and how long they've been working to put this together: "California Governor Gavin Newsom, Super Bowl champion Marshawn 'Beast Mode' Lynch, and agent Doug Hendrickson are joining forces for a new weekly podcast called 'Politickin' that will be available on iHeart Podcasts. Newsom and Hendrickson have been friends since the 1990s. Hendrickson has represented Lynch since 2007. I cannot wait to hear the hilarious Marshawn Lynch talk politics with an actual politician. The pairing of Lynch and Newsom is sure to create some viral moments, and if I'm not mistaken, will set out to have some genuine political conversations that everyday people can understand. And I have to mention that Newsom's name has been thrown around as a potential replacement for President Joe Biden if the Commander N' Chief decides to step aside. Could this podcast really just be a teaser for a Newsom-Lynch 2024 campaign, with the former running back looking to step into a vice president role? Only time will tell...
